Savannah

Only a four-hour drive from home, Savannah is close enough for a quick trip for a drastic change of scenery.

The old growth trees, historic buildings, and easily walkable downtown were a nice change of pace. It was a little confusing that everyone we met warned us not to move there, but after running in to the 25th bachelorette party it started to make sense. Absolutely worth a weekend trip, though. Maybe skip the ghost tour.
