Mau - Kellgren Wedding
Took a weekend trip up to my hometown of Chicago for the wedding of two buds. Did a little sightseeing with friends, hung out with family, and ate too much deep dish pizza. Dad and I visited the David Bowie Is exhibit at the MCA Chicago. Last year I tried, and failed, to get in to the show when it was at the Victoria and Albert Museum in London. The Chicago lines were much shorter than the London ones, so we got in. You could not take photos inside of the exhibit, but I made up for that by buying a significant amount of Bowie merch at the gift shop. He is in town for the rest of the year if you get a chance to visit.
The weather during the trip was beautiful, so Dad and I took an architecture boat tour up and down the Chicago river. We learned a lot of history on the tour, but the highlight was this - the best name for a boat I've ever seen:
On Friday night, those of us already in town met up with the bride and groom for some drinks downtown.
Thankfully we all clean up well. On Sunday, the wedding was held in south west Michigan. The ceremony, reception, weather, location, food, and every other detail about the day were fantastic.
So many congrats to Brett and Kelsey and I wish them the best in their new life together.
