Stanton SRT8-60
When I started showing an interest in vinyl, a friend offered up a good starter turntable. Yeah it was meant for DJ's, but it was free and better quality than some cheapo, speaker-included, usb portable bullshit they try to sell you at the clothing store that for some reason also sells record players now. It got the job done and got me through six or seven years of a growing vinyl collection. When it was time to upgrade to a player with a few more options that I was looking for - mainly a built-in pre-amp and auto-off once the side is done - I wanted to pay my good fortune forward and offer up the older player to a friend just starting off their collection. This photo and a corresponding Facebook post later and the Stanton SRT8-60 is now a friend's first record player.
