Ode to Thomas Golubic

Ode to Thomas Golubic

I want to buy Thomas Golubic, the music supervisor for Breaking Bad, a beer.

Back in Season 2, one of the moments that made me fall in love with this show has Walter White go full-Heisenberg on two meth cooks in the parking lot, all to the tune of TV on the Radio's "DLZ". In Season 3, another perfect music/scene pairing involves bug planting and Timber Timbre's "Magic Arrow". Season 4's climax is wonderfully scored by Apparat's "Goodbye (Instrumental)", and may just be my favorite of them all. The show already has great direction, acting, cinematography, and writing, and Golubic's musical choices are just icing on the cake.

So today while I was working, I found a Breaking Bad ad-hoc "Soundtrack" on rdio. A few songs were skipped, but overall this is a great collection of tunes. Give it a listen, even if you haven't watched the show, and discover some new music.
