STS-129
Of all the pictures I've taken, this may be my favorite.
Technically, it could have been better. I knew the basics of photography, but had never really sat down with a serious camera. Borrowing a D300 and 400mm lens from my Stepfather, he dialed in some settings and sent me on my way.
Sentimentally, it means the world to me. I've always loved the shuttle program, and living in Orlando allows you to see (almost) every shuttle launch from your front lawn. Now that the fleet is grounded, I'm glad that I made the extra effort to experience as many launches as possible.
This isn't the closest I got to the launchpad (STS-116), or the most awe-inspiring (again, STS-116), but it may have been the most memorable. I went with friends and got a good picture or two.
